Group Opportunities
Group treatment is a great way to learn and practice skills needed to be successful and independent. Each group is led by both Vicki and Tatia. Below is a brief description of groups that are currently offered:
Young Adult Social Skills Group, Teen Social Skills Group, Middle School Social Skills Group
These groups meet every other week for one hour. They are ongoing to foster friendships and to continue to build on skills that are constantly evolving. All groups do projects, play games, and have discussions that are challenging and motivating to group members. We focus on using a growth mindset to be successful at school, home, extra- curricular activities, and beyond. We work on self-regulation, executive function skills, problem solving, and perspective taking, to name a few. These groups are beneficial for those who need help understanding how they're feeling, handling problem situations, developing self-advocacy, and using critical thinking skills.
